UK FURIOUS HEAVEN releases today
And a few other tidbits
FURIOUS HEAVEN, book two of The Sun Chronicles, is out today March 2 in the UK region (not sure where else). It is available in hardcover and ebook. I’m not sure if the paperback is available now or later. The publisher is Head of Zeus, from their Ad Astra sff imprint. Cover art by Ronnie Tegnemaskin.
A limited edition signed version of the hardcover is available (on March 31) from Goldsboro Books.
There is apparently also a signed hardcover available at Forbidden Planet.
USA folks, your Tor Books publication date for FURIOUS HEAVEN is April 18, 2023. I’m sorry the pub dates couldn’t be coordinated. I’m hoping it will be a better match for book three, which I’m working on now.
USA folks only: The ebook of UNCONQUERABLE SUN is on sale for the month of March for $2.99.
Great for a new read, a re-read, or to inflict upon your best friends and fiercest rivals.
I couldn’t find an indie ebook vendor. Apologies. Please let me know if you have a favorite place you buy indie ebooks from.
Honestly, it does benefit authors when people leave reviews online, however and wherever (whether Amazon, Kobo, bookstore, blog, goodreads, Library Thing, Twitter, BookTube or BookTok, Mastodon and etc).
There’s no mandate to do so, but if you do feel so inclined, please know that I very much appreciate it and that it genuinely helps a book gain visibility, especially books without a big publicity budget (i.e. midlist writers like me).
Now that I think about it, I only know of a single BookTok review of any of my work (Anime June’s charming description of the Crown of Stars series) but I grant you that since I’m not on TikTok I haven’t gone looking as (some) writers (sometimes) do when they are searching for a little ego boost during a moment of low esteem. Not that I would know anything about that! (as Persephone constantly says about Jade Kim and dark closets).
I’d write a pithy essay but I think you would all rather have me focus on writing LADY CHAOS, book three of The Sun Chronicles. The long gap between books one and two makes me sad, so my hope is to get this one out with less of a gap.
I’m waiting to hear about a couple of other projects as well, but nothing I can confirm at this time.
Audio news:
Remember that you can preorder the audiobook of THE KEEPER’S SIX bundled with SERVANT MAGE (two novellas! together at last!) from Podium Audio, releasing April 17, 2023.
COLD STEEL’s Audiobooks “international edition” remains on sale until March 10. If you buy COLD STEEL, you can pick up two other audiobooks free. Check out Audiobooks other deals as well, since they seem to have been running a number of sales and specials recently.
Finn says it is too windy and wet (not the condition of his hair) and he is grumpily stuck inside.
As always, I could not do this without you. No, I really mean it. THANK YOU.
