THE NAMELESS LAND on publication day (today)

A short but sweet email to say that the Witch Roads duology (The Witch Roads and The Nameless Land) is complete today (in the USA/Canada region) with the release of the Tor Books ebook and hardcover edition.

Cover by Raja Nandepu for The Nameless Lands by Kate Elliott. Two figures stand side by side on a road, staring into the distance where a castle rises out of twining mists.

The ebook should be available in the UK today, while the print version will release in December in the UK region.

The audiobook releases in early February 2026, and will again by voices by the wonderful Ella Lynch.

For those who haven’t had this hammered into their brains by multiple mentions, this is a grimsweet fantasy road trip (on foot) w/ a humble deputy courier (and her annoyed nephew) forced to guide uppity court officials on a back country route that includes a ravenous fungal ghost plague, court intrigue, & a mysterious haunt.

The Macmillan site includes links to various places you can buy, should you feel so inclined. And if you haven’t read book one, now you can read the entire story in one big gulp!

Finn implores you to think about it! (Added note: the shyrdak (rug) is from Kyrgyzstan).

Finn, a white schnauzer, stares imploringly at the camera like the big drama twink he is. Just beyond his paws lies a round black and white felt rug with a dramatic pattern (I'm not sure how to describe it).

As always, I could not do this without you. Thank you.

Kate Elliott

I've finished the duology and am going back to savor passages I blew through on my rush to the finish. Then started thinking... Wait, this is such a beautifully created world with lots of possible stories to tell. Will we see some of these stories in future writings? Thank you for this new world and its complicated characters.

I can always tell when you've got a new book out--I get a big jump in Wrong Kate Elliott spam, haha! Now most of it is low effort AI-generated, a sign of the times.

Congrats, and adding the books to my TBR!
