The Keeper's Six: A Giveaway
But wait, there's more
I have three (3) copies of THE KEEPER’S SIX to give away on this newsletter, two (2) domestic and one (1) international.
(The photo below shows two copies of the ARC of The Keeper’s Six lying on a blue woven table runner. Cover illustration by Emmanuel Shiu.)
But before I do that, a quick infomercial. I feel inclined to apologize in advance for being so forward and rude as to mention buying my books, but the purpose of this newsletter is, after all, to keep you-the-most-fabulous-of-readerly-people apprised of my forthcoming works and appearances.
These days, pre-orders are used by publishers to determine print runs, so your pre-order of FURIOUS HEAVEN or THE KEEPER’s SIX is genuinely and perhaps even staggeringly helpful, and of course if you can convince others to pre-order as well, then the juggernaut begins rolling.
My thanks to all of you who have already pre-ordered, or who will do so.
A quick note about FURIOUS HEAVEN pre-orders. If you pre-ordered before February 2022, then your pre-order was almost certainly canceled when the book’s publication date got changed, so you would need to pre-order again. Natalie Naudus is back as narrator for the audiobook of FURIOUS HEAVEN.
Here are links to the Macmillan Publishing catalog, in case you do wish to pre-order:

As always, I am so grateful to all of you who read my books, and that’s true regardless of whether you pre-order or not since I totally understand it’s not always possible. To be clear, library reads are also great, and good for authors; support your local library! Or perhaps you’re waiting for the trade paperback, as I often do; I didn’t buy the hardcover of Helene Wecker’s THE HIDDEN PALACE the instant it came out because I prefer to read fiction in trade paperback or in e-format.

In fact, I recently finished reading THE HIDDEN PALACE, a lovely follow up novel to her smash debut THE GOLEM AND THE DJINN in which she weaves together turn of the century (19th to 20th) New York City, a golem with no master, an outcast djinn, and how they find themselves. It’s a wonderful story. The sequel moves the story into the 20th century in a really interesting way because the story isn’t a straight line; it’s many intermingling streams. I love her writing which is immersive and detailed while also being smoothly readable. Recommended! Although I’d start with THE GOLEM AND THE DJINN.

And now! The main event!
To enter, read the directions below:
Email me at ke@imakeupworlds.com
Subject line: KEEPER’S SIX
In the body of the email list your name and address, including country. If you feel inclined, feel free to add something about how great the cover is (the artist is Emmanuel Shiu) although that is not required.
I WILL NOT SHARE ADDRESSES OR KEEP THEM OR USE THEM FOR ANYTHING ELSE. This is so I have an address on hand so I can expedite sending out the ARCs as soon as winners are drawn. Out of bitter experience because sometimes I’ve emailed a winner and then they never write back, thus creating delays and concerns.
I will accept entries until Sunday 24 September 2022 at midnight Hawaii time so I can mail out ARCs to the winners on the following Monday or Tuesday.
