With the help of a wonderful reader who works at Meta, my hacked account at Facebook was restored to me. So you can safely follow “Kate Elliott” (with plumeria/frangipani avatar) there again, if you are on FB. If you are not on FB, my advice is to not go there lol.

Ironically I had left FB in 2019 and, as I mentioned in my previous newsletter, thought I had deleted my account. Now I feel I have to maintain a footprint on FB for the foreseeable future to prevent this kind of thing from happening again.

In terms of social media, I am still on Twitter (aka X), although posting less. Very sad to see the platform so degraded, but here we are.

I do have a Patreon, although that is a different animal. I post there weekly.

I am also on Tumblr, Instagram, Bluesky, Mastodon, and even Post and Threads under KateElliottSFF but rarely post any of those places as I haven’t found a platform that scratches the Twitter itch the way Twitter did with its exceptional blend of global connectivity and water-cooler emphemerality. Oh well. Times inevitably change.
